Or perhaps push pirates into mining sites, so you actually have to protect miners from them? I&#039;m torn - on the one hand, I really like that I can log on and grind alone for an hour to afford another backup Interceptor. On the other hand, I feel like it would be more authentic for me to be protecting the miners in-system from pirates. It would be satisfying to see the pirates grow a bit of a spine and actually hunt down miners from time to time. 

I very much like your moths-to-an-iHub-flame simile. It does very much feel like that. Just one of those times when the metaphors of the system clash with what makes for a design that players like.</description>
